CUSTOM COMMISSION: TINPLATE HOUSING FOR CRYSTAL MFG LIGHTED SIGN

This metal housing was made for a breweriana collector so that he could display his 'Alt Heildelberg' Beer reverse-on-glass (ROG) sign. Laying on the floor near his fireplace without an appropriate way to re-light it, we brought this sign back to life.

Crafted from the same tin plate metal and gauge material as the originals every detail has been painstakingly re-created. Note the sliding access panel door on the backside of the housing, just as was used on the originals to allow changing a lamp source easy. Even the vent holes and louvers were carefully crafted to replicate the period authentic look of this late 1930's-era lighted sign, which was originally manufactured by Crystal Manufacturing of Chicago, Illinois.
